GENERAL POLICIES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK
- Client acknowledges that dog training entails inherent risks.
- Risks include injuries to animals, people, and property.
- Risks may arise from canine behavior beyond the Trainer’s direct control.
- The Client agrees to assume all risks associated with training sessions.
- This acknowledgment ensures that the Clientunderstands and accepts the potential risks involved in dog training.
VETERINARY CARE
- The Client confirms that the dog participating in the training sessions is in good health and has been vaccinated according to state and local requirements.
- In the event of an injury or illness, the Client authorizes LIFETRACKS TRAINING to seek emergency veterinary treatment.
- Costs for such treatment will be the responsibility of the Client.
TRAINING METHODS
- LIFETRACKS TRAINING uses positive reinforcement techniques in training.
- Client consents to the use of such methods with their dog and acknowledges that results can vary.
- The Trainer will make efforts to achieve the desired outcomes but cannot guarantee specific results from the training program.
LATE DROP OFF & PICK UP
- Late drop-off cannot be accommodated.
- It is understood that if I am more than 10 minutes late for my dog’s class, I will need to reschedule.
- I am also aware that if I am more than 10 minutes late to pick up my dog a $15 late fee will be charged.
PAYMENT POLICIES
- Payment is due at time of registration. You will not be registered until full payment is made.
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid penalty charges.
POLICIES SPECIFIC TO “PET FIRST AID” COURSES
“PET FIRST AID” COURSE CANCELLATION POLICIES
- Cancellations must be confirmed 7 days prior to course date to receive a partial refund of $120.
- Cancellations confirmed 72 hours in advance are subject to a $80 administration fee.
- Any cancellation within 48 hours of the registered course or nonattendance are not eligible to receive a refund.
REFUNDS & TRANSFERS
- PayPal refunds are subject to a $6 processing fee.
- Course fees expire 12 months from the date of purchase and are not eligible for refund.
- You may choose to transfer to another course date within the 12-month time period. Registration is transferable to a family member, a friend etc.
“PET FIRST AID” COURSE CERTIFICATION POLICIES
To get “Pet First Aid” certified, you will need to complete the full 10-hour course and receive a passing mark of %76 or higher to receive your certificate.
“PET FIRST AID” ANIMAL POLICIES (If applicable)
- Proof of current vaccinations or titre test documents must be presented 72 hours prior to scheduled course.
- Due to space and class size there is a limited number of dogs accepted, they will be accepted in order of registration.
- Dogs are ONLY welcome if they are registered.
- Cats are not able to attend due to the excitement of the dogs and/or environment.
- Dogs attending Life Tracks Pet First Aid Training must be obedient, calm and social with people and other dogs.
- Dogs must be securely leashed during the course.
- You are solely responsible for your dog, if your dog causes any damages or injuries to another person, animal or object you will be held fully responsible.
- We reserve the right if your dog is found unsuitable or disruptive to dismiss he/she from the course.
“PET FIRST AID” SAFETY POLICIES
With the importance of everyone’s health in mind, our Pet First Aid Training has safety practices and policies in place to ensure all of our participants are safe and feel comfortable during the course.
- Stations and equipment are fully sanitized prior to arrival and include:
- Personal dog and or cat stuffed (toy) animal for bandaging practical’s.
- First aid basket, including all the materials necessary for the course.
- Walks ‘N’ Wags Pet First Aid manual, pocket manual and window decal (take home).
- Manikins used for CPR/AR skills are fully sanitized and plastic lungs are replaced after each use.
- Live dogs are welcome if registered. Please bring their clean blanket or mat and water dish. Doggie snacks and water are provided.
In the event you are exhibiting ANY signs of illness or are in the process of self-isolation for any reason, please do not attend class. You may reschedule at a later time. If I (your Instructor) am feeling unwell, the course will be postponed.
